At Sheffield Forgemasters we have an exciting opportunity for a HR Reward Partner to join our team on a 15 month fixed term contract, providing maternity cover. This role can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis, around business requirements.
This role is based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, and will be working as part of our People & Culture department.
As the HR Reward Partner, you will work closely with the People & Culture Director to implement the people agenda that supports the overall vision and strategy for Reward and Recognition within the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Act as the subject matter expert for reward, including pay, benefits, pensions, recognition and benchmarking.
- Support the delivery of the Reward & Recognition Strategy in partnership with the People & Culture Director.
- Provide reward analysis and market insights to support pay reviews and Remuneration Committee activity.
- Lead job evaluation and benchmarking to maintain an effective banding framework.
- Enhance the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) through competitive reward and benefits programmes.
- Develop and maintain reward, recognition and benefits policies.
- Ensure effective administration of employee benefits and reward processes.
- Work with the People Services Hub to integrate reward activities into the HRIS.
About You
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).
- We are looking for a Reward Specialist or an experienced HR generalist with strong knowledge of reward and benefits.
- Experience leading and implementing people-related improvement projects and initiatives.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills at all levels.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to build effective working relationships.

The Working Pattern
We are open to full-time or part – time applicants for this role. Our full-time hours, for reference, are 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. We offer flexibility in our start and finish times between 06:15 – 09:30 and 14:30 – 18:00.
