This year’s Team DNE 24-Hour Rowing Challenge has been another huge success, with Sheffield Forgemasters employees rowing an incredible 331,302 metres (331.3km) and already raising more than £5,000 for the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity.
A huge thank you to everyone who made the challenge possible, including our organisers, sponsors, and, of course, the 115 rowers who kept the machines moving throughout the 24 hours.
The competitive spirit resulted in some fantastic individual achievements:
– Scott Evans claimed the top male rower spot with 2,752 metres in 10 minutes
– Millie Flather was our top female rower with 2,548 metres in 10 minutes
–  Barry Rice completed an incredible hour-long stint from 4.40am, covering over 14,000 metresTogether, the team surpassed last year’s distance and, more importantly, came together alongside colleagues from across the Defence Nuclear Enterprise to support a fantastic cause.
The commitment, teamwork and determination shown throughout the challenge was a brilliant reflection of the One Team ethos at the heart of the Enterprise.
