By monitoring the live performance of our operations in real time, we are empowering smarter business decisions that enhance planning, efficiency and productivity across our entire facility. We are delivering this through a suite of integrated digital tools, including manufacturing hubs, personalised dashboards and digital twins.
Discrete Event Simulation (DES)
Simulation has always been a cornerstone of our manufacturing expertise, and now we are applying that power to our factory itself. We are now simulating our entire operation, using discrete event simulation (DES) to plan and design our new facilities alongside our existing ones. This enables detailed scenario planning for our facilities transition, impact assessment of new equipment and capabilities, and a clear path towards a live digital twin that mirrors our operation in real time.
Alternative Realities
Virtual and augmented reality are transforming the way we interact with our manufacturing facilities. By bringing our operations to life digitally, we can familiarise staff, contractors and visitors with our facilities without setting foot on the shop floor. These technologies are also being deployed to support remote maintenance with real-time data, facilitate collaborative 3D engineering design reviews, and train personnel on new manufacturing processes – safely, efficiently and effectively.
